In his presentation “Plasma Burners for the Decarbonization of Industrial Processes,” Werner Wiggen introduced TPS and its technological focus.

The presentation addressed the question of how industrial high-temperature processes can be designed to be CO₂-free in the future. The plasma burner technology developed by TPS enables very high process temperatures and opens up new fields of application in areas where conventional electric heating systems reach their technical limits.

The Technology Talk clearly demonstrated that the electrification of industrial furnaces is a key element in the transformation of energy-intensive industries. At the same time, innovative technologies, high-performance infrastructure, and practical demonstration projects are essential to successfully implement solutions on an industrial scale.
